[GENERAL APPEARANCE:]
{Male Description:}
An eleven-year-old sixth grade boy, Joseph has short black hair, often disheveled, with dark brown highlights. He's thin and four-foot-seven, and peers out of gray-brown eyes with a touch of arrogance and an air of simultaneous immaturity and experience. Well, okay, mostly immaturity, but that's understandable, since he is. Anyhow, Joseph is possessed of that little-kid sort of cuteness that all young anime characters seem to have for some inexplicable reason.

{Female Description:}
An eleven-year-old sixth grade girl, Jo-chan has short, soft red hair with pink highlights. She's thin and four-foot-eight, and looks brightly through sky-blue eyes. In other words, Jo-chan isn't too overly different. She's a bit taller and a lot cuter and possesses those feminine features that make it readily apparent to passersby that she's a girl, but that's about it.

[GENERAL CLOTHING:]
His usual choice of clothing usually consists of slacks and a Polo shirt about half the time, and casual stuff like jeans and a T-shirt the other half of the time. Usually always wears sneakers and a watch, and still always has his satchel with him, although now he uses it to put schoolbooks in.

[WEAPONRY:]
None. Violent weapons go against the laws of the _Kodomo no Omocha_ universe. However, he's still got the usual hitchhiking implements in his satchel, including towel and copy of _The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy_, and several albums metamorphosed into _Best of Queen_ albums, although they're not really of much use in the situation.

[POWERS/SKILLS:]
If you hadn't guessed, Joseph is a victim of the nyannichuan, and is therefore cursed to become a girl at a splash of cold water, and back at a douse of hot.

However, Joseph also suffers from the ancient Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times." Or, more accurately, he's incredibly lucky and unlucky at the same time. His lack of luck causes strange events to happen around him, such as his attraction of cold water, and his infinite abundance of luck prevents things like death actually happening to him. Occasionally, people say that some deity or anthropomorphic personification is watching over him.

Anyways, he's dabbled in many fields although he's not good at any of them, but he's a fast learner, and he's been, well, nearly everywhere, and met a lot of people. He can see _octarine_, the color of magic, he's quite intelligent, and appears to be moreso as an eleven-year-old, and he has finely-tuned lightning-fast reflexes from very many brushes with death.

And despite its lack of usefulness in his current situation, Joseph is adept at the Caribbean School of Swordfighting, which consists of winning duels with insults and comebacks.

[ATTITUDE:]
Generally a pretty laidback and easy-going person, Joseph is what most people would term a "procrastinator", or possibly, "slacker". He's generally very loyal to his friends, and is very easily hurt by betrayal.

Joseph generally acts as mature as a boy his age, which is to say, not very much. But occasionally, during serious occasions, he acts _much_ more mature than his age implies. He has a very strong will, which is generally interpreted as standard Takahashi stubbornness.

Usually he's fairly upbeat, especially around friends, although when he's angry he ups the sarcasm and irony level to about one-hundred percent. And he's very suspicious of shifty-looking people or people who act overly nice around him for no apparent reason. Also, due understandably to his curse, he is, or rather was, pretty homophobic. Although now he seems to have put a memory block most of the sex education he could possibly have received.

[RELATIONSHIPS:]

Anne Packrat:
Typical Ranma and Akane relationship, in which insults culminate in a mallet. It's an argumentative rivalry, although occasionally they show tolerance towards each other, and now that they're in the _Kodocha_ dimension they're more likely to have a warm and fuzzy moment, or some such thing. And luckily for Joseph, the mallets there are squeaky.

[BACKGROUND:]
Joseph has a very sketchy background that he usually keeps to himself and his closest friends. (And it's not just because the author hasn't thought of it yet.)

Anyhow, Joseph has been deaged to eleven years old with Anne Packrat and thrown into the _Kodocha_ dimension by Washu as an exercise in sensitivity, and also because she was sick and tired of hearing them argue all the time, although she may have other, less sinister underlying motives. He's been enrolled in Grade 6, Class 3 as Joseph Hakubi, Washu's child and Anne's brother. Or sister, if you prefer.

It's probably worth mentioning that the class already knows about his and Anne's, er, problem with water.

[CHARACTER'S NAME:] Alzena Pygmalion
[ALIASES:] Lady Lupin
[STATUS:] Interdimensional and temporal thief, and current nemesis and archenemy of the STRA's top agents

[GENERAL APPEARANCE:]
She's female, with green eyes and long, straight crimson hair that has a large blonde streak running through it from top to bottom. With a figure like a Greek statue, Alzena is (un)arguably the most beautiful woman in the multiverse. Being born on September 10, this makes Alzena a Virgo. Which just happens to be ruled by Mercury, the patron god of thieves. ;)

[GENERAL CLOTHING:]
As a master (or, more accurately, mistress) of disguise, Alzena will wear _anything_ necessary to accomplish her task. Short of that, everything she wears is perfectly selected to accentuate her figure, though not too much of it. Sometimes less shown is more enticing.

Alzena is a pretty good marksman. Being a thief, she is also a Mistress of Disguise, very lithe and agile, and extremely cunning and intelligent. Because of both her physical attractiveness and her apparently flirtatious nature, she is able to make members of both sexes fall madly in, well, lust with her. As a result, Alzena is highly manipulative through her use of sexual attraction, able to quickly revert her method from innocently cute to seductively sexy. And after all, everyone's a little homosexual... One other thing. She never gets caught. Ever. Unless she wants to.

Now, as for her loot...

[ATTITUDE:]
Surprisingly, Alzena is actually a pacifist--that is, she always seeks a non-violent solution to a problem. Off-duty, Alzena tends to have a laid-back and inviting nature (er, no, not like that :P), and acts quite friendly and amiably. Any professional grudges she has are left behind, and in fact she'd be perfectly okay with going off for some coffee with an STRA agent or two. On-duty, however, she's extremely meticulous and precise, carefully planning everything out beforehand. She's not really _evil_, per se -- more of a chaotic neutral opportunist. However, despite this, she seems to tend more towards the side of good when it doesn't directly conflict with her objectives. Ironically, Alzena is extremely philophobic (afraid of love).

[BACKGROUND:]
A direct female-line decendent of Helen of Troy ("The Face that Launched a Thousand Ships"), Alzena's mother -- who, according to rumor, is a cousin of Arsene Lupin -- was also a highly skilled thief, while her father was a highly skilled burglar. She learned the art of Taking Things Which Are Not Yours from her parents, and 'worked' with them until she was a teenager, when she separated from them to make her own living. After an 'incident' with some law enforcement officials (Alzena refuses to discuss the details of this), Alzena discovered her unusually high level of actractiveness. She eventually became so good that she traveled to other dimensions, and became famous everywhere (especially in STRA headquarters ^^;). Alzena moved to CAPOW because it connected all other dimensions, and she thought she would get relative anonymity here. Little did she know that a certain STRA agent was also stationed there...

[CHARACTER'S NAME:] Hanako Baro
[STATUS:] Dead

[GENERAL APPEARANCE:]
When she was alive, Hanako had straight shoulder-length, dark red hair (think Kim Doonesbury with a different color scheme) and bright green eyes, and stood about five-foot-two.

Of course, now that she's dead, this has changed somewhat. She's generally invisible except only to certain people (i.e., spiritualists, priests, etc.), but those who _can_ see her would note that she looks a bit transparent, although depending on the amount of effort or emotion Hanako exerts, she may be able to increase her visibility temporarily. Oh, and besides that, there's always a rather pleasant smell of roses whenever she's around.

[GENERAL CLOTHING:]
Because she's a ghost, and has the ability to shift her own appearance, her clothing generally varies, depending on the occasion. She's been seen in everything from a Straussian jumpsuit to a formal kimono, although she is most likely to be seen in a sundress.

Hanako _always_ wears her engagement ring, which, when she was alive, was a perfectly ordinary and expensive symbol of love from her fiancé, and was a ruby set in a gold band. Now that she's dead, however, her ring changes color in a slow cycle from red to green to red, each change spaced about two days apart. The cycle seems to be linked to how easy she finds it to interact with the world of the living...

[POWERS/SKILLS:]
Hanako has the (rather pitiful) ability to move/throw objects, but it requires all of her concentration and energy, she can only carry/toss things that weigh less than twenty pounds (unless she's really upset), and she can't do it for very long.

She also creates a distinct scent of rose whenever she's around that she can't control, and she has the ability to possess people. And whenever she's in a room with plants, they tend to turn and face her direction, like the sun...

[ATTITUDE:]
Before her death, Hanako was one of the more popular crewmembers on the Kircheis -- outgoing and compassionate, and happiest around a large group of people. She liked being trusted with everyone's secrets, just so she could help them unravel the little tangles in their lives. She would, basically, have been the sort of person who'd throw a surprise party for someone if she thought s/he was depressed. No matter who you are, she takes a genuine _interest_.

Of course, now that she's dead and cut off from the people she loves, she's confused, and resentful, mostly directed towards the people who separated her from her loved ones. A person who thrived on social interaction now cut off from people, she'll probably latch onto the first sign of human contact like a lifeline...

Oh, yeah, and she also _loved_ plants. Her quarters were literally overflowing with them. (A day when she didn't carry a bouquet of flowers to one of her friends was unusual.) This love has carried over into her death, as well...

[BACKGROUND:]
Hanako was the daughter of a Straussian diplomat, and when her father was stationed in the Empire, she met her True Love and fiancé. He happened to be an Imperial knight, which made life a little more interesting. Still, the pair managed to sort matters out to their satisfaction and the satisfaction of their families. As Hanako was an aspiring diplomat herself, and since the career required ship service as necessary background, she joined the crew of the Kircheis. Her life was going very well, with a happy love life and a promising career path, until the Kircheis suddenly broke apart (see Jerry's intro post).

Now she has found herself suddenly and unexpectedly dead, and she is having a hard time adjusting. She tries to cope with being a ghost and being shut off from all her loved ones -- especially her fiancé – and longs for any kind of human contact. Her unfinished business in the mortal plane revolves around two things: her fiance, and vengeance... But if her business ever becomes finished, she'll have to leave the people she loves forever...

[ALIASES:] Anne-chan (Cursed form), Tomboy

[GENERAL APPEARANCE:]
A 5'7" fourteen-year-old with short blond hair and grey blue eyes, Anne wears casual clothing usually, a school uniform (for school), and either a plugsuit (white green, blue) or a miko/spiritualist outfit for battle or formal situations. Has all shikigamis except Indara around her generally, though if she's going into a more formal gathering she keeps Shotoro, the bulldog, and possibly, Ryo, around her.

CF - A large orangutan with orange fur, and arms too long for her frame.

[WEAPONRY:]
Mallet, very limited staff-fighting skills, shikigamis

[POWERS/SKILLS:]
Can control and manifest shikigamis. The shikigamis (animal spirits) are independent entities, however, she can not make one do something against it's wishes. The shikigamis respond to her moods and do their best to protect her. Has access to HammerSpace, generally she can only retrieve a mallet or other small object. In silly threads she can restrict other's use of HammerSpace. Has limited empathy and uncontrollable prediction ability provided by dreams. Also she has her own theme music provided by Wakwak. ^_^

Lately Anne has also been able to "connect" with certain types of AIs (Eva Lemon and Eva 00). This power is unpredictable and as was the case with Eva Lemon, Anne can become overwhelmed and lose her mind. This is very dangerous to Anne and she has learned to rightly fear using this power.

Finally, Anne has been learning magic from her teacher Jerry. So far she knows really only the essentials (mostly theory). She can cast a few very-low-powered spells (right now she knows how to create two-dimensional illusions, light, Fukerize, and Chia-sensei). She used to be able to endow people with temporary Jusenkyo curses, but this ability seems to have been lost during her recent possession.

[ATTITUDE:]
Kind, but short-tempered tomboy. She is generally happy or thoughtful most of the time. Frequently she goes into a sort of "mood" when she seems depressed and stares out into space.

[BACKGROUND:]
Anne has two sisters (Ami and Meiko who together along with Anne form the Legendary Three Senshi of Strauss), and one brother (Huck). They all grew up in the Empire, with Anne's mother serving the Empire. Anne's father was an alien who died while Anne was very young. Anne was raised with her family until she was six when she was found to have a type of power that the Empire needed to power a new division of its army known only as "The Agency". The Agency performed excruciating tests on Anne to determine the extent of her power, and made her create horrible creatures. The full extent of what the Agency did to Anne is not known, as she refuses to talk about it, but it is presumed to be very bad indeed. At the age of 11, Anne escaped the Agency, and was pursued for two weeks by her brother Huck and sister Ami, now known as Sailor Makendo. Just before they caught her, Anne was found and spirited away by the genius scientist Washu.

Washu raised the girl until she was recovered and then sent her off to live in a monastery/school in Colorado. Presumably, the monks had a favorable impression on her, and that is why she is something of a tomboy. After five years with the monks, Washu set Anne up as manager of her Used Bookstore and SubSpace Lab in the strange town of Capow.

Anne quickly became friends with most of the Capowers, and gained a magic teacher, Jerry, the Duke of Strauss. After Anne was in Capow for about a year, her brother Huck came to take her back to the Agency. Huck managed to capture her, Jerry, and a little girl named Mai. Many Capowers came to the rescue, only to find a strong Empire base as opposition. Anne ended up invoking her full power as a senshi in order to destroy the base. Along with the power, Anne came up against "the promise". The promise was an agreement/spell made from Anne's father to her mother that his children would use their full power only in serving the Empire. If ever they used it against the Empire's wishes they would die. With this invoked, Anne gave up her life to save her friends.

But all was not lost. Washu felt her ward's death and activated a clone she'd made of the girl years before. Anne came back as a nine-year-old with Washu in tow as her guardian. Together they lived in the bookstore. Anne aged at an accelerated rate, but for the time being has stopped at the age of fourteen/ fifteen, but she is much older mentally, but socially and spiritually she is still somewhat a child...

Anne was reconciled with her teacher, and actually was made an honorary member of the duke of Strauss, thus becoming his heir until Jerry's own children came around. Also Anne's sister Meiko came back, and she and Anne came to an understanding. Meiko lived with them for awhile but now is living with her lover Jay.

With Meiko's coming, Anne's full memories of her former life came flooding back. When this happened, what was left of "the promise" also came into being. This "force" has plagued Anne with horrible nightmares of what her future might be like. Indeed, Washu now suspects that "the promise's" influence is slowly causing Anne to turn evil the more she uses her full power. Washu has not told Anne this, and hopes not to for awhile. Currently, she and Jerry are trying to stop Anne's fall to darkness, but meanwhile, they are preventing the girl from using anything too powerful lest she hasten the process.

Recently, Capow's timeline was warped by Thickett. Anne was one of a handful of people who were trying to retrieve the scattered dragonballs so that the timeline could be set aright. Thickett managed to infect Anne with an evil malevolence, but she managed to keep her control most of the time. During this quest, Anne ended up in the Evangelion dimension, and was tested as an Eva pilot. She did exceptionally well, but the malevolence took over and caused her to attack her (somewhat) love interest Shinji Ikari, in Eva 01. With the shikigamis help, Shinji managed to free Anne, in the process the two developed a deep almost telepathic bond. Currently, they are having a relationship, though they're still at the "blushing and looking down at the floor" stage.

Anne's Shikigamis:
Mekira - green and yellow tiger, motherly, she is the oldest and most protective shikigami, has a slight rivalry with Shotoro.

Shotoro - bulldog with exceptional sense of smell. Has slight rivalry with Mekira. Likes food and being pet.

Ryo - Cabbit with better-than-human-hearing and ability to eat many times own weight in carrots.

Indara - the shyest of the shikigamis, Indara prefers to stay in the spirits' dimensional home unless she is needed. She is a unicorn essentially. Her horn is useful in dispelling spirits.
